Exodus by Uche Osita James
When the trickling rain the heavens
so richly give the earth ceases.
When the soul's longing diminishes
and the heart can no longer endure,
I shall return.
When the maize plants blooms no
more and the beans stalk all dry up.
When the savage wind ravages the
land
and takes all its fruits with it,
I shall return.
When vision departs the weary eyes .
When the market place is desolate
and the Traders all flee in fear,
I shall return.
